Lifeline Power Jump Rope Price
This is the rope I started off with. Since it's a bit heavier than a speed rope, it's not as fast so you go pretty slow with it. It doesn't kink plus since it is heavier, you could mess up a bit and the rope will still keep turning (by that, I mean that your feet may skim the rope but the rope is heavy enough that it does not stop). When I originally started to do tricks, I found it easier to work it out on beaded ropes and once I got the hang of it, then went to a speed rope (although now that I have a freestyle rope, that is the best way to go with the longer handles). Again, the fact it doesn't kink and get tangled makes it easier to master the cross. Double unders are a little tougher with these but it will give you a workout once you get to that point. I don't use beaded ropes anymore but I highly recommend them. Plus beaded ropes are the best ropes if jumping outside if the plastic beads are made of good material. Your rope won't wear out (not that I advocate jumping on concrete but once in a while it's okay)
