This band is good. There is always a chance with resistance bands that they break or come loose where attached. I would not wish to be hit by one when that occurs. With this cord, four bands are braided together. I doubt all four would ever break or come loose at the same time, so getting injured would not happen.
I also bought this band for use with P90X. I have dumbbells, so mainly this is used for pull-ups. Pulling up ones weight is not easy. We have a pull-up bar that we drape this cord over. I gave this cord only four stars because it is called a heavy cord and the weight that can be pulled on it is more than most bands, but I do not believe it could take 40 lbs of pull (20 lbs for each arm). If someone wants to build up to being able to pull up their body weight of 140 lbs, there is a definite gap there. I feel a five star band would indicate the maximum weight that it could be equivalent to.
That said - this is the best band I have found. It says heavy and it is stronger than the couple of other heavy ones I have tried.
